Cheryl has been a long-time community organizer with a passion for and commitment to service. She is currently a licensed Realtor in Connecticut, and the owner of the Hilton Advocacy Group who’s “soul” mission is to advocate for any student experiencing issues with their IEP, 504 Plan, or issues with equity. Cheryl is also the founder of the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors Bridge Committee, the only diversity and inclusion group for Realtors in Connecticut. In 2016, she was the recipient of The Connecticut Fair Housing Empowering Communities Award and has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Association of Realtors and The Greater Hartford Association of Realtors. She is also an instructor for Neighborhood Housing Services of Waterbury.
In her work in real estate and in educational advocacy, Cheryl sees first-hand how systemic racism plays out. RE·Center’s approach and value of lived experiences fit her firm belief that direct work in educational settings is key to the elimination of systemic racism in schools which will translate into communities at large.
In her free time, Cheryl would describe herself as a “Hardcore Lacrosse mom”. She also is an avid traveler and is involved with multiple organizations including being a proud member of The Waterbury, Connecticut Chapter of The Links Incorporated, Southington Women for Progress, and The Southington High School Boys Lacrosse Booster Club.
