RE-CENTER STAFF

Shaniqua Rudd
Senior Development Director
Shaniqua is West Philadelphia born and raised. During her undergraduate studies in Business Marketing at Saint Joseph’s University, she was exposed to the world of Development as the beneficiary of many scholarships. Since then, she has dedicated herself to the non-profit education sector. Through various Development roles, she has utilized her expertise to secure funding that expands opportunities for underserved youth and programs for marginalized communities. During this time, Shaniqua has also completed her Master of Organizational Development & Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University, Master of Arts in Philanthropy & Development from University of Northern Iowa, and a Certified Non-Profit Professional certification.
Her time as an adolescent at summer enrichment camps, academic retreats, and many experiences during undergrad, made her realize for far too-long she had been programmed to “code-switch” to co-exist in predominately white environments. Her passion for the advancement of racial equity and social justice began while working at her alma mater as the primary staff contact for the Black Alumni Chapter and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. Her hopes to bridge together her fundraising experience and personal beliefs brought her to the doors of RE-CENTER. She aspired to work for an organization who whose values prioritized a better world for black and brown people.
In her free time, Shaniqua enjoys sports, binge-watching her favorite TV series and traveling the world. She is also a daughter, sister, and aunt so her weekends are filled with family gatherings where she oversees Saturday festivities and Football Sunday snacks.
